Laura has always felt peaceful happiness and a sense of calm being in the outdoors. She loves witnessing the beauty and sounds straight from ever changing Mother Nature herself; and believes mother nature is the best natural teacher!

Being outdoors has always been an integral part of Laura's life and she was always encouraged to get dirty and explore. Remembering fondly her younger years as a Jr. Forest Warden, she hopes to spread the joy and wonderment she experienced.

She strongly believes in creating a safe space for fostering imaginations, 'wild' play, and quiet sit spots to let creativity and confidence grow.

Laura has always loved children, and at social gatherings is often hanging with the children asking questions, doing arts and crafts and playing, instead of talking with other 'grownups'.

This draw to children has influenced her to enroll in college and she is currently pursuing her Education Assistant degree. In her spare time she can be found wandering Port Moody shorelines, kayaking the inlet, playing with her niece, and enjoying all the diversity the lower mainlad offers.
